Who We Are

Reception House Waterloo Region is a non-profit, community-based organization that welcomes and supports refugees and high-needs newcomers through settlement, housing, and integration services, helping individuals and families build stable, independent lives since 1987.

Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP)

Supporting refugee families to meet their immediate, essential needs upon their arrival in Canada.

Employment Services

Facilitating job readiness & employer connections to help newcomers, along with the general population, secure sustainable employment in Canada.

Community Initiatives

Focused on connection, bridging gaps between arrivals and belonging through youth engagement, cultural space, and collaborative innovation.

Client Support Services (CSS)

Providing individualized case management to help newcomers with complex needs build stability and independence.

Children & Youth

Empowering refugee youth through mental health, education, and programs to support their successful integration and belonging.

French Services

Supporting francophone newcomers’ settlement, employment, and integration through partnerships and community activities.
