Pictured: CEO, Carl Cadogan with Dat Tran

Dat Tran and our CEO Carl Cadogan met at the 2019 Families in Canada conference and realized they had something in common.

Dat lived at 101 David St, our temporary residence site, before it was even Reception House! His family was sponsored by KW House church over 40 years ago. At that time, we were a grass roots organization where volunteers lived with newcomers in a supportive environment.

Today Dat is an executive chef in Ottawa Region and speaks at conferences about his experiences coming to Canada as a young boy from Vietnam

An unexpected blast from the past!
