Reception House Waterloo Region is a community-based organization that provides a warm welcome to government assisted refugees
Our programs and services assist refugees throughout their settlement and integration process, allowing them to lead healthy and productive lives in their new community.
Upon arrival, we provide temporary accomodations. Our most important task is to ensure that our guests feel welcome, safe and secure in their new environment. Last year, we assisted approximately 1,000 refugees and migrants in the Waterloo region.
Reception House turns 30!
Reception House is celebrating it’s 30th year of refugee resettlement in Waterloo Region. Since 1987, we have provided welcome and shelter to over 10,000 people fleeing war and persecution from all over the world.
We invite you to join us on Friday, May 26th to kick off world refugee day events in June, invite our neighbours to view our newly renovated site at 101 David St. and enjoy diverse food, music and fashion (please see flyer attached). Please share this event with your networks. All are welcome.
